About Helen Lewis

With extensive experience as a freelance PR and NCTJ-accredited journalist, Helen started her career at Reuters in the publishing division, and took a giant leap of faith into the freelance world (as a food and drink journalist first – 2004 and then as a PR – 2006). 

Helen started to work with authors in 2011, mostly chefs and food writers, and fell in love with 'book publicity' as an extension of her PR work.

Literally PR has worked with many authors to create a buzz around their book, organised more than 50 book launch events in venues including the Royal Geographical Society, Royal Institute of British Architects and Shakespeare’s Globe, and secured targeted media coverage that has boosted book sales across all genres.

Helen’s ‘perfect’ job combines her passions: food, drink and books. When she’s not working, Helen will be found running around after her seven and nine year old daughters, or relaxing with friends with a G&T or three.

Helen was shortlisted for two Great British Entreperners Awards. One of fifteen finalists for the Small Business of the Year Entrepreneur Category. And won a Kent Women in Business Award. She is writing her first book.
